STEP UP HOUSING

39-unit multi-family supportive housing in Berkeley, California.

Developed for nonprofit Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency, Step Up Housing will provide 39 units of supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness along a sunny and centrally-located stretch of downtown Berkeley. While BOSS has been successful in converting motels and hotels into shelters, this ground-up building is their first property to be purpose-built for the wellbeing and safety of its residents.

The common spaces will host supportive services and include residential amenities. This project was made possible by Berkeley residents who passed measures O and P to support affordable housing and services for the unhoused.
