EAST BAY MINI LOT

This urban infill development addresses the missing middle of housing development, adding density to an existing single family home. The project has proceeded in two phases. Starting with the existing 19th century Victorian’s renovation and a small addition for a new primary suite and larger kitchen. Phase 2 adds two new homes and an ADU to the property to quadruple the dwelling units on the lot.

The homes balance the complex constraints of a limited and dense site, while ensuring that each home receives ample daylight and is provided with private outdoor space. The tall ceilings and windows of each home ensures that they feel grand and spacious in the tradition of Victorian homes, despite their modest footprints.
