C.R.O.P. CAMPUS

Residential co-living complex in West Oakland, California design-built for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Design-built with Baran Studio, this 16,521-square-foot residential co-living complex in West Oakland was conceived for Creating Restorative Opportunities and Programs, a nonprofit organization providing formerly incarcerated individuals with housing and reentry support, such as counseling and job training.

While the playful corrugated metal exterior nods to the industrial roots of the surrounding neighborhood, the light-filled interiors and modern energy-efficient construction provide a warm and welcoming new home base for the residents.
