SPARC IT PLACE

SPARC-IT-PLACE is a community-oriented space designed in collaboration with David Baker Architects and design-built by Design Draw Build Inc. Design Draw Build participated in a year and a half long community-led design process involving community meetings and design charrettes that were vital in establishing key architectural elements of the project. Located in West Oakland, the installation and infrastructure built on a previously vacant lot facilitates temporary and flexible uses has been activated by community markets, cultural events, children’s activities, community meetings, and most importantly- people!
