GREENING THE PORT OF OAKLAND

In 2018, the California Air Resources Board allocated $9 million in funding to the Port of Oakland as a part of the Sustainable Terminals Accelerating Regional Transportation (START) Program. Design Draw Build, Inc and ESquared Power LLC partnered with the Port of Oakland to help envision new flexible electrical smart grids. These modular designs included solar profusion, energy banks, and electric charging stations that will provide energy storage and electric vehicle charging for  transport vehicles operating in the Port of Oakland.
